The mission of CSIA is to foster innovation and a positive growth environment to enable the technology industry in Colorado to compete on a global basis.

As the largest and most influential IT membership and industry organization in Colorado, CSIA works on behalf of our member companies and industry to ensure their best interests for business success are encouraged throughout the state. With the experience, access, knowledge and influence to effectively represent the diverse interests of the technology industry, CSIA provides programs, peer-to-peer connections, representation, advocacy and industry leverage for the IT industry in Colorado.


    • CSIA also is the voice and support network for Colorado's technology and software    industries in Colorado. CSIA, through its public policy and advocacy work,    represents more than 3,000 IT companies statewide that employ more than    95,000 people with an estimated annual payroll of $2.5 billion.
    • CSIA has nearly 300 software and technology company members and    approximately 500 industry executives and manager members.
    • More than 500 technology companies and 2,000 individuals are regularly involved    in or participate in CSIA programs, events and initiatives, making it the largest IT    organization in the region.
    • CSIA represents the more than 3,000 IT companies statewide that employ more    than 95,000 people with an estimated annual payroll of $2.5 billion.
    • The average annual salary for IT employees in Colorado is more than $76,000; in    privately held companies, the average is more than $85,000.
    • The software industry is on track (as of June 30) to add more than 1,800 jobs in    Colorado in 2006.
    • Colorado ranks 5th in the US in software services employment, and according to    the SIIA, the Longmont-Boulder corridor is home to the highest percentage of    software engineers per capita in the United States and has been since 2003.
    • According to Colorado Labor Statistics, IT jobs will represent most of the major job    growth in the state through 2012 (includes aerospace, bioscience, energy, finance    and other related industries).
    • Colorado ranks 2nd in share of computer and information science experts.
    • Technology companies require highly educated and trained employees generating    a higher share of high-paying, high quality jobs.
    • More than 85 industry leaders are involved as volunteers with CSIA's Apex Awards    and DEMOGala events and Programs, Membership, Marketing Communications    or Public Policy Committees. CSIA also has a Board of 22 prominent individuals    who are leaders in the technology industry in Colorado.
    • CSIA works directly with elected officials, governmental agencies, higher education    representatives, economic development and business leaders in Colorado to    represent the interests of the technology industry.
    • Technology companies share a natural synergy with Colorado's existing base of    eight world class research universities.
    • Technology industries create products that are prime export commodities bringing    new wealth to the Rocky Mountain region.
    • Many successful innovative startup companies emerge from the technology sector.
