State Launches Advancing Colorado Movement
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade has launched the
Advancing Colorado initiative. OEDIT
intends to build a culture within Colorado that is locally-driven, individually-owned
and imbued with a spirit of contribution and teamwork.

Christine Shapard to Join Colorado BioScience Association

State economic developer Christine Shapard will join the Colorado BioScience Association in
January. Shapard has been director of biosciences and emerging technologies for the Colorado
Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) for two years. She will join
the CBSA in January as director of marketing and communications.

CU plotting Road Map for Colorado Nanotechnology

The University of Colorado's Business Research Division is developing a "road map" for
nanotechnology in Colorado.
The project was commissioned by the Colorado Nanotech Initiative, which received about
$308,000 in federal and state funding earlier this year.
